Assistant Program
IN HOUSE TRAINING.
Our assistant training program is designed to advance the skills of newly graduated cosmetologist. With our own licensed educators on staff we created an education program that will help these new stylist gain confidence in their skills and timing. These stylists in training will be assisting our team until they meet our requirements to take guests on their own. They will slowly add services as they gain knowledge and confidence.

The Beauty Bar Apprentice Program
A solid education is a crucial foundation for working in cosmetology.
However, we also know there are many hopeful stylists who want to work in the industry—but don’t have the money for a traditional cosmetology program, or don’t want to graduate with debt.

Our Apprentice Program offers a different approach. Our program allows individuals to prepare for licensure through hands-on training and mentorship. As an apprentice, you’ll work directly with one of our team educators, where you’ll receive one-on-one training — and get paid for it.

The Apprentice Program is a great way to get real-world experience immediately—not after you graduate. Apprentices begin by observing other stylists and gradually work into practicing various techniques on actual clients. This exclusive program is highly individualized, with apprentices learning and refining their skills over a two-year period
APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for TBB Apprentice Program, you must:

Have a strong passion for the beauty industry

Be highly motivated and excited about learning

Be at least seventeen (17) years of age

Be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week

Complete 2,500 hours of paid training within a 18 month time period

Have reliable transportation to attend in-school and on-the-job training

Carry out the required cosmetology rules + laws set by The Maine State Board of Cosmetology.

Register and assume full responsibility for in-school training expenses, including tuition and materials. Tuition cost $7500
